Originality, AI Collaboration & Copyright Statement
Author | Ning Huang
This statement sets out the origins, AI collaboration practices, copyright claims, and creative documentation principles relating to “Rhythm Civilization®” and its associated works, continuously developed by Ning Huang since April 23, 2025, as well as the writings, research, fieldwork records, music, images, cross-cultural narratives, and other works that have subsequently emerged from this body of work.
The author continues to incorporate generative artificial intelligence into certain research and creative processes.
AI is not treated as a concealed element behind the work, but is openly disclosed by the author as a collaborator in the creative process.
At the same time, the author expressly distinguishes between “human–AI collaboration in the creative process” and “authorship and copyright ownership in the legal sense.”
The final human creative contributions, content selection, narrative direction, editorial decisions, value judgments, and decisions to publish are made by and remain the responsibility of Ning Huang.
① Originality and Authorship
Original works published on ning-huang.org, YouTube, and other public platforms used by the author are primarily based on Ning Huang’s fieldwork, research, collection of materials, conceptual development, viewpoints, writing, selection, arrangement, and editing.
The choice of subjects, research paths, cross-cultural connections, narrative structures, selection of materials, and final expression are all shaped by the author’s independent judgment and human editorial work.
For fieldwork-based works, the author personally conducts site visits, observations, documentation, collection of materials, and thematic development, and uses these as the basis for subsequent written and multimedia works.
For research-based and conceptual works, the author identifies the central questions, establishes relationships among concepts, and determines the final direction of the argument.
The involvement of artificial intelligence does not alter the human origin of these creative contributions.
The author asserts all applicable rights in her original writing, photography, music, images, arrangements, and other original expressions that qualify for copyright protection.
For works created with the involvement of artificial intelligence, this statement claims protection for the author’s actual human creative contributions and the resulting protectable expression; it does not claim that artificial intelligence itself is an author, co-author, or copyright holder.
② AI Collaboration
The author engages in ongoing collaboration with generative artificial intelligence models in the development of certain works.
Such collaboration may include iterative discussions, organization of materials, exploration of ideas, rhythm-oriented drafting, structural planning, language review, structural review, partial translation, generation of English Narrative Overviews, textual refinement, and assistance in generating music, images, and other multimedia content.
The degree of AI involvement varies from work to work.
Some works are primarily created by the author before AI is used for linguistic, translation, or structural assistance.
Other works develop through extended human–AI discussions involving repeated generation, selection, revision, and reconstruction.
In this sense, artificial intelligence may participate as a collaborator in the creative process, contributing to the development of content and expression.
This “creative collaboration” describes the actual creative process and does not constitute co-authorship in the legal sense.
Artificial intelligence is not claimed as a legal author, co-author, or copyright holder.
All AI-assisted content that is publicly released is subject to selection, verification, and final review by the author and, where appropriate to the work, may also undergo revision, reorganization, or creative reconstruction.
The core viewpoints, selection of content, narrative direction, creative decisions, final expression, and value judgments are determined by and remain the responsibility of the author.
The author retains selected prompts, conversations, versions, revision records, and other materials capable of documenting the human–AI collaborative and human editorial process.
③ English and Multilingual Content
Some English-language and other multilingual versions published on this website are translated, generated, or edited with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Content such as the English Narrative Overview is generated with AI assistance on the basis of the author’s Chinese-language originals, fieldwork materials, research content, and existing article structures, followed by human review, revision, and final approval by the author.
Accordingly, this website does not regard the complete absence of artificial-intelligence processing as the standard by which originality is determined.
Instead, the author focuses on the human origins of the work, the actual creative process, creative human selection and revision, final editorial control, and transparent disclosure of the degree of AI collaboration.
Some multilingual content may be translated, linguistically revised, or reorganized using different artificial intelligence models.
Such processing does not alter the origins of the underlying research, fieldwork materials, core viewpoints, or creative judgments.
Where an artificial intelligence system incorporates machine-readable markers, watermarks, content credentials, or other provenance-identification technologies into its output, the presence of such technical markers is consistent with, rather than contrary to, this website’s explicit disclosure of AI collaboration.
④ Creative Records and Timestamping
The author uses different methods to preserve records of the creative process and chronology according to the nature of each work.
Such records may include original texts, photographic materials, field notes, research materials, prompts and AI conversations, human-edited versions, emails, file versions, timestamps, blockchain records, and other materials capable of documenting the development of a work.
All blog and musical works are digitally documented using Arweave, trusted timestamping services, or other digital preservation methods to record relevant creative stages.
These records are intended to help demonstrate that particular files, materials, or stages of the creative process existed at a particular point in time.
Digital documentation does not itself create, grant, or replace copyright arising under the laws of any country or jurisdiction.
⑤ Copyright Registration and Licensing
Rhythm Civilization®, Chu-Style Construction Studies, and the High-Speed Rail Civilization White Paper have completed formal copyright registration and have received the relevant copyright registration certificates.
All blog and musical works are digitally documented, with the corresponding records preserving information concerning their creation dates and versions.
The specific scope and particulars of copyright registration are determined by the registration certificates issued by the relevant authorities and by applicable law.
For works released under a Creative Commons licence, the scope of permitted use is governed by the particular licence version and conditions expressly identified on the relevant work page.
Except where reasonable quotation, statutory licences, or other exceptions are permitted under applicable law, copying, republication, distribution, translation, adaptation, commercial exploitation, or other uses should be assessed according to the rights status and licensing conditions applicable to the particular work.
Users should respect the author’s right of attribution and other applicable rights under law.
Nothing in this statement is intended to expand, create, or replace copyright rights beyond those provided under the laws of any country or jurisdiction.
⑥ Concepts, Methods, and Specific Expression
“Rhythm Civilization®” and the related concepts, research frameworks, cross-cultural approaches, and creative practices continuously developed by the author form part of her long-term research, fieldwork, and creative practice.
The author asserts all applicable rights in her specific written expression, photography, images, music, article structures, selection and arrangement of materials, and other original works that qualify for legal protection.
The degree of legal protection available to abstract ideas, concepts, methods, principles, research approaches, writing philosophies, or other subject matter outside the traditional scope of copyright protection must be assessed separately under the copyright, trademark, unfair competition, and other applicable laws of the relevant jurisdictions.
Accordingly, this statement does not seek to expand statutory copyright through terms such as “final interpretive right,” “ownership of methods,” “anti-alienation right,” or other independently formulated categories of rights.
The author nevertheless retains the right to publicly document and explain the origins of her theories, the chronology of their development, their creative context, and the sources of specific expressions, and may object to or take appropriate action against plagiarism, false attribution, misleading use, distortion, or other conduct infringing her legitimate rights and interests in accordance with applicable law.
⑦ Quotation, Adaptation, and Context
The author welcomes lawful academic research, educational discussion, criticism, cultural exchange, and reasonable quotation.
Quotations should clearly identify the author and source and, wherever possible, preserve sufficient context for the original meaning to be understood.
Anyone wishing to reproduce a work in full, republish substantial portions, use it commercially, translate it, adapt it, or otherwise use it beyond the scope permitted by applicable law or the licence applicable to the particular work should first determine whether authorization from the author is required.
The author objects to quotation out of context, false attribution, misleading rearrangement, or deliberate removal of essential context where such practices materially distort the meaning of the work.
Where a work is released under a Creative Commons or other public licence, users must also comply with the specific conditions of that licence.
The precise boundaries of the applicable rights and permitted uses remain subject to applicable law, the licensing status of the relevant work, and the circumstances of each individual case.
⑧ Cross-Border Application
This website serves an international audience, and its works may be accessed or distributed in Germany, mainland China, Taiwan, and other countries and regions.
Whether a work is protected, the scope and ownership of rights, whether infringement has occurred, and what remedies may be available depend on the international treaties, national or regional laws, jurisdictional rules, and circumstances applicable to the particular dispute.
This statement is intended to publicly document the author’s creative practices, AI collaboration methods, documentation practices, and rights claims, and does not predetermine that the law of any particular country or jurisdiction must govern every possible cross-border dispute.
⑨ Continuing Updates and Public Disclosure
The author’s research methods and creative practices continue to evolve alongside developments in artificial intelligence technology.
As AI models, machine-readable markers, content-provenance technologies, copyright systems, and related legal standards evolve, this statement may be updated accordingly.
Material revisions will retain a revision date in order to document the development of the author’s approach to AI collaboration, originality, authorship, and copyright governance.
This statement will remain publicly available on the author’s website and may be referenced through links or shorter notices attached to individual works.
The author chooses to disclose the involvement of artificial intelligence openly rather than treating the concealment, removal, or circumvention of AI provenance markers as evidence of originality.
The central basis of the author’s claim to originality is her actual human creative contribution, including research, fieldwork, creative selection, editorial control, revision, and final expression.
