《令尹夫人的爱船船队》记录我在德国、奥地利、瑞士等地走访港口、船舶博物馆与历史船只的观察,探索航运如何改变贸易、技术、迁徙与文明的发展。

船,不只是交通工具,也是文明流动的载体。

My Beloved Ships Series

From inland barges and steamships to ocean liners, sailing ships and museum vessels, this series explores how ships have shaped mobility, trade, technology and civilization.

Based on fieldwork across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the articles document historic vessels, harbours and maritime museums through the perspective of Rhythm Civilization.

从汉堡北京号(Peking)、德国五桅全帆船 Preußen,到奥地利的 Sowitasgoht V,这篇文章走进风帆时代最后的辉煌。透过三艘不同年代的帆船,回顾远洋贸易、环球航运与横渡大西洋的发展,重新理解在人类拥有蒸汽机与柴油机之前,风如何连接世界,也如何开启现代航海文明。 This article explores three remarkable sailing ships encountered in Germany and Austria: the four-masted barque Peking, the legendary five-masted full-rigged ship Preußen, and the ocean-going yacht Sowitasgoht V. Together, they trace the final centuries of the Age of Sail and show how wind-powered navigation connected continents long before steam and diesel transformed global shipping.

Based on fieldwork in Hamburg, Duisburg, Heilbronn and Stuttgart, this article introduces six German working ships—Buffalo, Cordillera, Cap San Diego, Oscar Huber, Tauerei Ruhrort and Marina. From energy and food transport to global trade and inland navigation, they reveal how Germany's industrial civilization was built through countless unseen efforts and innovative engineering.
